UNDERGROUND INSTALLATION HOUSING

Underground housing for control equipment, for use for example with sewage pumps, traffic lights or security, power supplies to sockets, telecoms etc.

While it is simple the control equipment housing is highly functional and flexible. A removable plastic mounting plate is fitted to the inside of the cover, allowing easy installation of controls or installations.
The cables are led safely to the underside of the housing by means of a cable drag chain.

The control equipment can be fully inset into a flat surface. The unit will not form an obstacle whether it is in or out of use.
The housing has a single compartment and features a stainless steel cover (in chequer plate or ready for the application of surfacing materials).
The housing makes use of the bell trap system. The box can be fully inset into a flat surface.

OPERATION

To open the control equipment unit first unlock the cover with a square socket. A lock with a crank handle is located behind the cover.
Once unlocked the hinged cover can be opened with the assistance of the gas springs.
Once opened the cover is locked to prevent it falling.

The air chamber housing the mounting plate and the equipment is fitted to the cover.
With the cover in the vertical position after opening the equipment can be accessed safely and easily.
An optional step plate can be fitted in the housing to facilitate user convenience.
The control housing need only be operated for regular maintenance and in the event of a fault.

The cover can be in matt blasted stainless steel, or ready for the application of surfacing materials.
Maximal load on cover: 12.5 tonnes in accordance with standard EN124.
Suitable for power supplies from the electricity company.
Housing in stainless steel.
The cover can be provided with either one or two gas springs with protection from personal injury.

Lockable with europrofile half cylinder lock.
The bell trap protects the equipment against the ingress of water (no connection to the drainage system is required).
Models 2M and 3M are fitted with a cable drag chain.
Satisfies electrical standards.
